More info: Whilst Big Cat Rescue is well known as a sanctuary dedicated to providing a permanent home for rescued big cats such as tigers, lions and leopards they also provide help and care for lots of smaller felines.
Big Cat Rescue took in their first foster kittens in 2013. They take in kittens that the Humane Society of Tampa Bay are unable at the time, to place for adoption. This is often moms with babies, kittens in need of bottle feeding, kittens under 2 lbs (the legal weight to spay & neuter them), and feral kittens that need to be socialized.
When the kittens are old enough to have their first vaccines and have been SNAP tested (for Feline Aids and Feline Leukemia), they can spend their days in the Kitten Cabana where they can spend time playing and socialising.
