More info: The June Keyes Penguin Habitat at the Aquarium of the Pacific, features a rocky area and beach that resembles the penguins' natural habitat, a pool for swimming, and nesting areas. There are 20 Magellanic penguins in the exhibit.

One of 18 penguin species, Magellanic penguins are swift swimmers and can reach speeds of 15 mph with their torpedo-like shape.

The largest colony of Magellanic Penguins, with more than 200,000 breeding pairs, is located at Punta Tombo in Argentina.
