More info: Located on 90 acres in St. Louis, Missouri's Forest Park, the Saint Louis Zoo is home to about 14,000 animals, many of which are rare and endangered.

The Penguin and Puffin Coast exhibit opened in 2003, and it was the first open-air penguin habitat of its kind in North America.
