More info: The Calvert Marine Museum is an educational, regionally oriented museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, and interpretation of the culture and natural and maritime history of Southern Maryland.
Fifteen aquariums, from 50 to 3,500 gallons, explore the aquatic life of the Chesapeake estuary, displaying plants and animals from the salty waters of the Bay, and the fresh water of the upper Patuxent River. The River Otter habitat has an 8,000 gallon freshwater pool.
