The original Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier was built in 1972 and extended 962 feet (293m) into the Gulf of Mexico. Sadly, Hurricane Erin (1995) destroyed the original pier. The current pier opened in 1998 and Extends 1262 feet (385) out into the Gulf of Mexico.
Located at the base of the pier is a tackle shop which has artificial and natural baits that have been time tested to provide the best fishing results off the pier Additional Information :
