The Humbolt Penguin is native to the coast of Peru and Chile. It is a medium-sized penguin and easily recognisable by the black band of feathers across its chest. The Humbolt Penguin is a carnivore with a diet based on small fish, like anchovies and sardines, as well as squids and krill. Humboldt penguins can reach speeds of 20 to 30 miles per hour in the water and dive to a depth of 492 feet to find food.
