More Info: Vervet monkeys have lived in the wild in Dania Beach since some escaped from a chimp farm in the 1940s. Dr. Missy Williams from the Dania Beach Vervet Project, runs the Dania Beach Monkey Sanctuary which at the moment is home to three rescued monkeys, called Spock, Betty and Margarita.
