More info: The only penguin species found in Africa, the African penguin is also known as the Cape penguin or South African penguin. In the wild, they live in colonies on the coast and islands of southern Africa. They averages about 60 cm (2 ft.) tall and weighs up to 3.6 kg (8 lb.).
