Macaws are a large group of birds in the parrot family and are native to the Central and South American rainforests. They are the largest parrots in the world, known for their vibrant plumage, long tails, and powerful beaks capable of cracking open hard nuts. There are 15 species of macaws. The largest, the Hyacinth macaw, can reach lengths of over 3 feet.
