More info: Lots of people feed foxes, either regularly or occasionally, and get a great deal of enjoyment from doing so. They are carnivorous animals and will eat all kinds of food. They like cooked or raw meat, tinned pet food and other savoury items such as cheese, table scraps, bread soaked in fat, fruit and cooked vegetables.

Foxes are often smaller than people think. Generally they weigh between 5 to 8 kg and stand at about 40cm at the shoulder. They are mostly nocturnal but may also be seen in the daytime.
