The Donkey Sanctuary has been running for over 50 years and has six sanctuaries, open to the public, across the UK which are home to over 7,000 donkeys. The organisation also has seven closed farms that provide a refuge for rescued donkeys as well as offering professional training for prospective Donkey Guardians, staff, volunteers and donkey handlers.
