MORE INFO : The sanctuary is a Forever Foster Home based Sanctuary in beautiful Mount Juliet, Tennessee, generally housing approximately 120 senior dogs at the Sanctuary and others in temporary and Forever Foster Homes. While providing lifetime homes for senior dogs, OFSDS strives to raise awareness of the joys and challenges of living with older dogs.
The main aim of OFSDS is to find lifelong placements for senior dogs where they can live the remainder of their lives as a part of a family. Most of the Old Friends that you see at the sanctuary are available through their forever foster program. In order to grow, they are seeking Forever Foster Homes to provide loving homes to Senior Dogs. The dogs that are brought into the program are those who are nearly or fully un-adoptable due to disability and/or age, but who are still able to enjoy the remainder of their senior years with a good quality of life. Through sponsorships, donations and grants OFSDS provide medical care and basic needs to the dogs living in foster homes.
