More Info : Warrior Canine Connection (WCC) is a non-profit organisation which supports military service members, veterans and their families by harnessing the healing power of dogs by focusing on their care and training, rather than on past trauma. As a result of the efforts of WCC, Veterans with disabilities receive the finest in trained service dogs.

WCC use golden retrievers and labrador retrievers which are specially bred for health, temperament and longevity. For a dog to be eligible at least 12 generations of each dogs pedigree is researched to obtain a clear and accurate picture of the genetic potential to become a successful service dog.

Golden retrievers and labrador retrievers are the perfect choice for service dogs. They are intelligent dogs who love to be given responsibilities and duties and they have the right temperament to work with people. They are dogs which have a natural work ethic and a devotion to the task they are trained for.

They are dogs with sensitive mouths, and a strong build but they are not too large to be difficult to handle. They are muscular dogs and sturdy enough to wear a harness and not too large to be able to get in and out of places like shops and restaurants.
