More info: The Isle of Wight is rewarding for birdwatchers all year round. There are over 100 species of birds which breed on the island and many more passing through during migration.
Common garden birds include chiffchaffs, siskins, yellowhammers, bullfinches, nuthatches, treecreepers, lesser redpolls, tawny owls, sparrowhawks, jays, cuckoos, mistle thrushes, blackcaps, goldcrests and pied flycatchers. Winter garden visitors may also include migrant bramblings, waxwings, redwings and fieldfares.
