The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch of 2023, named the house sparrow as the most common bird sighted. The house sparrow has held the number one position for 20 years, despite numbers dropping 60 percent since the survey began over 40 years ago.
Coming in second was the blue tit followed by starling, wood pigeon, blackbird and robin.
