More info: On the Island of Majorca, ospreys nest on rocky coastlines, cliffs, and pine trees, particularly in the northern and western parts of the island, such as the Serra de Tramuntana and the Llevant Peninsula. It feeds in open sea or in bays, coastal wetlands or reservoirs.

The Parc Natural de la Peni­nsula de Llevant, is on the north east of Mallorca, covering an area of 1671 hectares and was declared a National Park in 2002. As well as ospreys, the park is home to other raptors including Eleonora's falcons, peregrine falcons, booted eagles, and red kites.
