More info: Ranworth Broad Nature Reserve comprises three hectares of wet grassland, alder carr and scrub, located in the heart of the broads.

In 2025, the osprey pair successfully fledged two chicks, making it the first known site in the region for ospreys to nest and breed, in hundreds of years. Osprey nests, known as eyries, are built high in tall trees or on cliffs, but usually next to water. Most commonly, 3 eggs are laid over several days and they hatch roughly 4 to 5 weeks (32-42 days) later. Both parents, but primarily the female, incubate the eggs, often starting with the first egg laid.
