More info: Last year the peregrines successfully raised four chicks. This was the first time peregrines had bred at the cathedral for more than a decade.
The peregrine is the biggest falcon in the UK; it is dark slate-grey above and white below, with black bars across its chest and belly. It has a white throat and cheeks, and a strong, black moustache and mask.
