The wood pigeon is the UK's largest and most common pigeon and is well known fo its cooing call and is a failiar sight in gardens, parks, woodland and farmland.
The wood pigeon can be distinguished fron the similar stock dove and feral pigeon by its pink coloured breast, white neck patch and white wing patches which are cleary seen in flight.
