More info: Timbavati Private Nature Reserve shares a common unfenced border with the Kruger National Park allowing animals to roam freely. It covers an area of over 53 000 hectares (131 000 acres) of unspoilt natural wilderness.

All of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) are present and the reserve is well known for its large herds of buffalo and elephant. This unspoilt corner of Kruger, is home to an amazing 500 bird species and nearly 150 mammal species as well as a remarkable 330 species of tree. Other game viewing highlights in Timbavati include cheetah, black-backed jackal, hyena, hippo, kudu, nyala, zebra, giraffe and warthog.
