Majete Wildlife Resevre is located close to the city of Blantyre and covers an area of 70.000 hectares. It is home to good populations of elephant, lion, giraffe and African wild dog, alongside sable antelope, kudu, and Lichtenstein's hartebeest.

More info: Majete Wildlife Reserve is considered Malawi's premier Big Five reserve. Following successful wildlife reintroductions by African Parks since 2003, it features a high density of predators (lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas) and large mammals, including elephants, black rhinos, and buffaloes.
A rich birdlife includes four species of vulture and local specials such as Livingstone’s flycatcher, Boehm’s bee-eater and racket-tailed roller.
