More info: Toucan Rescue Ranch was founded by Leslie Howle, initially to look after Toucans! However, other birds needed help as well, and eventually, TRR started caring for sloths and other wildlife which had been harmed by human causes.

Toucans play a vital part in keeping rainforests alive. By eating an array of native fruits and passing the seeds through their droppings, they help with new plants growing and maintaining the forest’s diversity. Although mostly fruit eaters, toucans may also consume insects, small birds, rodents, and invertebrates.
