  • Info: Live snow monkey webcam in Japan. The snow monkeys (Japanese macaques) are at the Awaji Island Monkey Centre. The Awaji Island Monkey Center feeds a population of some 350 wild snow monkeys who inhabit the Kashiwara Mountain and visit the centre daily.


More info: The Awaji Island Monkey center is located on the east site of Kashiwara Mountain in Sumoto city on Awaji Island. It was first open in 1967 and it is currently home to around 350 monkeys.

Visitors are able to feed and interact with the monkeys who are friendly and used to people. The monkeys are wild and live in the surrounding Kashiwara Mountains, coming down to visit the park in the daytime.

There are also deer at Awaji Island Monkey Center.
